The story of the 54 days rosary novena can be traced back to the year 1884 when a very ill Fortuna Agrelli started praying the novena, along with her family. They already knew that there was no cure for her illness. And yet, they continued to pray in the hopes of her health improving and for her to be cured.

They devoted their faith in every pray that they chanted - word after word. On March 3, the Virgin Mary appeared before Fortuna.

As a response to the young girl's petition to be cured, the Virgin Mary asked her to pray three novenas. If she did, she will obtain her request for healing.

The Virgin Mary appeared again to the girl and said, "Whoever desires to obtain favors from Me should make three novenas of the prayers of the Rosary, and three novenas in thanksgiving."

Fortuna prayed the rosary and the novena for 54 straight days. After that, she was completely healed.

A novena is a prayer; a request you make for 9 days. And for the miraculous 54-days rosary novena, you pray 3 novenas on the first 27 days addressing a specific intention. For the remaining 27 days, you must pray another 3 novenas in thanksgiving, regardless if your petition was granted or not.

Let us all pray the novena for 54 consecutive days.
