S13 Day 8 - Luminous Mysteries in Petition

Hello family, and welcome to day 8 of our 54-Day Rosary Novena. I’m your host, Maritza Mendez, and I’m so glad you’re here.

Before we begin, I have a small favor to ask. If this podcast has brought you peace or helped you grow in prayer, please take a moment to rate us wherever you’re listening.
When you give a rating and hopefully we’ve earned those five stars it helps our podcast reach the top of the search results, so that more people can find us when they’re looking for a Catholic Rosary prayer. Thank you so much for helping us share this mission of prayer and hope.

This season, we continue praying for peace in the world,
for those struggling with addictions, for those in recovery,
for the families who walk beside them with love and patience, and for the intentions you carry in your heart today.

Today, we reflect on God’s mercy being bigger than our shame.

Sometimes, when we fall into sin or weakness, shame whispers that we are unworthy that we’ve gone too far or failed too much. But that is never how God sees us. His mercy is greater than any mistake, stronger than any past,
and deeper than any fear that tries to separate us from His love.

Shame hides. Mercy calls us out of hiding and into healing. God doesn’t want to embarrass us He wants to embrace us.
When we turn back to Him, He runs toward us with open arms, just like the father in the story of the prodigal son.

So today, if your heart feels heavy, let this truth sink in: You are not defined by your past , you are restored by God’s mercy.

Our prayer today is simple:
Jesus, help me believe that Your mercy is greater than my shame. Mary, bring me closer to the heart of Your Son, where I can rest in His forgiveness and love.

For your journal reflection: What part of my story still carries shame, and how can I invite God’s mercy into that place?

Let us pray.

Blessed Mother, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, today we bring to you every heart weighed down by guilt or regret.
Wrap each one in your motherly love, and lead us to the merciful heart of Jesus.

We pray for peace in the world, for those struggling with addiction, and for every soul seeking forgiveness and healing.

Today we pray especially for: Adolfo, Aimee, Andrea, Antonio, Araceli, Ariana, Bertha, Bodhi, Brianna, Cabarubias Family, Calista, Caroline, Chisom, Chiara, Dasola, Diana, Djoko, Elijah, Emery, Emyco, Esmaylin, Family Carrillo, Family Garces Delgado, Family Palacios Salcedo, Felimon, Fifie, George, Grace, Hilario, Ikechukwu, Jayanti, James, Jesse, Jesús, Joelle, Jorge G., Juan Javier, Junior, Kaitlyn, Liam, Leticia, Linda, Lourdes, Luis, Marlene, MariElena, Mikaela, Michael, Nicholai, Nneka, Nnemka, Nwajiaky Family, Olivia, Owen, Purity, Roach, Roger, Rogelio, Roman, Rose, Saikou, Samuel, Sandra, Scarlett, Susana, and the Cesar & Therese Rivera Family.

With love,
Maritza Mendez.
