S12 Day 49 - Joyful Mysteries in Thanksgiving

Hello family, and welcome to day 49 of our 54-Day Rosary Novena.  I'm your host Maritza Mendez. Thank you for joining us today.

Today, our hearts are heavy as we honor the life and legacy of Pope Francis, who passed away yesterday, April 21. He was a shepherd who led us with humility, mercy, and courage—a voice for the poor, for peace, and for the protection of all life.

His final Easter message just days ago reminded us to hold fast to the hope of the Resurrection, to be instruments of peace, and to trust that Christ is alive and walking with us. Even in his final days, he pointed us to Jesus.

Today we remember his deep love for the Rosary, his devotion to Our Lady, and his constant encouragement for us to be people of joy, prayer, and action. He taught us that holiness is for everyone, that God’s mercy is endless, and that we are called to care not only for each other, but also for our common home.

So let us lift up a Rosary today in thanksgiving for Pope Francis’ life and service to the Church. May we carry his teachings in our hearts and continue to walk the path of love and humility he modeled so well.

Today, on day 49, we are praying the Joyful Mysteries in Thanksgiving.

Blessed Mother, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, we ask for your intercession as we pray for the repose of the soul of Pope Francis. May we honor his legacy by living with faith, compassion, and trust in Christ’s Resurrection.

We pray for unity in our families, strength in our faith, wisdom in discernment,  and the right use of technology to deepen our human connections. We pray for the intentions of our family here on the podcast, intentions received by email, Instagram and YouTube.
